Union Station Hotel is one of Nashville’s most dramatic venues, offering a blend of Gothic Revival architecture and modern luxury. Its grand stone fireplaces, soaring ceilings, and intricate details make it an ideal backdrop for elevated, elegant weddings.
Madison and Ben met us in the fall of 2023. We had a short visit and we knew they were a couple that we really wanted to work with to help create a day filled with wonderful colorful memories.
A Romantic Ceremony in the Lobby
The ceremony took place in the hotel’s iconic lobby. The fireplace became the focal point, adorned with lush florals and soft draping that created a romantic, luxurious atmosphere. Their voices echoed through the historic lobby as they exchanged vows surrounded by loved ones.
Personal Touches That Made the Day Unforgettable
A Surprise for the Mother of the Bride
Yanna surprised her mother with a modernized version of her original wedding dress, tailored into a short and playful reception piece. For their first look, Yanna wore the redesigned dress, creating an emotional moment the two of them will never forget. Afterward, she changed into her own wedding gown for the ceremony, saving the special dress reveal for later in the night when the dance floor opened. It was thoughtful, heartfelt, and an incredibly meaningful tribute to her mom.
The Couple’s Adorable Fur Babies
Of course, no modern wedding is complete without the couple’s fur babies—and Yanna and Jake made sure their pups had starring roles.
The dogs were part of the ceremony, adding charm, personality, and more than a few heart-melting moments. Later, they reappeared in a fun, subtle detail: custom cocktail napkins featuring their sweet faces. Guests loved it, and it added such a personal touch to cocktail hour.
A Train-Station-Inspired Seating Chartry
To honor the venue’s history, the seating chart was designed as a vintage train ticket. It was thoughtful, cleverly tied to the space, and beautifully executed.

A Romantic Dinner Atmosphere Filled with Music, Florals, and Candlelight
As guests entered the dining space, they were met by the sound of a roaming violinist—the kind of luxury entertainment touch that transforms dinner from a meal into an immersive experience. The soft music created a warm, romantic atmosphere while guests found their seats.
The florals in the reception space were a rich, elegant blend of burgundy, sage green, blush, and ivory. Paired with modern candlelight and thoughtful design details, the room glowed with warmth and sophistication.

Personalized decor items, like custom signage or monogrammed napkins, can add a touch of individuality to your event. Ben and Madison opted for a custom painted seating chart, with a special note written especially for each guest, featuring vibrant florals that mirrored her bouquet.
Ben's mom had recently passed, and he wanted a gentle way to honor her presence throughout the day. After proposing to Madison, the couple stood in the thrill of their excitement when a yellow warbler fluttered by, as if Ben's mom was there, sharing in their joy. This inspired us to incorporate yellow warblers in unexpected places during their wedding celebration, symbolizing her presence and love on this special day. Imagine how touching it will be to feel her spirit alongside them, creating a beautiful connection that everyone can cherish. It’s the little things that can make the wedding truly unforgettable, and this special tribute will certainly leave a lasting impression.
Dessert Displays & Late-Night Dancing
Instead of a traditional single wedding cake, Yanna and Jake opted for a dessert display featuring their wedding cake along with a delicious cheesecake selection. It added visual interest, variety, and that “wow” moment guests always appreciate.
After dinner, guests moved into a separate space designed just for dancing. A live band kept the energy high, and the room quickly transformed from romantic to electric. Guests danced late into the night, celebrating the newlyweds in true Nashville style.
